Job Description
The U.S. Mission in Brazzaville is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Motor Pool Dispatcher position in the General Services Office.
The Motor Pool Dispatcher coordinates daily and advanced transportation assignments for post personnel and official visitors, providing work guidance to chauffeurs. Responsibilities include coordinating transportation requests between users and drivers, arranging work shifts and shuttle schedules, handling emergency requests, and providing guidance to chauffeurs on vehicle operations, safety measures, and VIP transport protocols. The Dispatcher ensures drivers maintain presentable appearance and vehicles are clean and operationally ready, monitors compliance with safety regulations, and serves as back-up to the Mechanic Supervisor. Additional duties include analyzing fuel usage and maintenance data, conducting vehicle inspections, developing vehicle rotation plans, submitting mishap reports, participating in accident investigations, preparing periodic reports on scheduling and chauffeur performance, preparing monthly bills to subscriber agencies, assisting with inventory and barcoding, and coordinating routine vehicle maintenance with repair facilities.
All selected candidates will be subject to background investigation and pre-employment medical exams.
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within four weeks upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Education
Completion of secondary school is required.

Experience
Two years of professional driving experience in host country, plus one year motor vehicle dispatcher or fleet management experience is required.
Language
English Level 3 - Good working knowledge; speaking, reading & writing is required. French Level 3 - Good working knowledge; speaking, reading & writing is required.
Job Knowledge
Good knowledge of host country traffic laws, vehicle licensing, registration, and procedures & detailed knowledge of host country streets, traffic patterns, and commonly visited locations required.
Skills And Abilities
Strong leadership, technical, and administrative skills, basic keyboard skills and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT CONSIDERATIONS
The following apply to EFMs, USEFMs, and AEFMs only:
- Current employees who used a hiring preference to gain employment who are within their first 90 calendar days of employment are not eligible. This does not apply when the hiring mechanism is TEMP or the work schedule is intermittent or irregular.
- Candidates with a hiring preference who have already accepted a conditional offer of employment may NOT be extended a second conditional offer of employment unless and until they withdraw their candidacy for the first position in writing.
The following apply to Locally Employed (LE) staff only:
- Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible.
